Those may just look like rectangles to you...
...but those are stairs, baby. STAIRS. And the plan has been approved by the city.
What does this mean, you're asking?
1) We don't have to go outside to go to Rob's office.
2) We get to have a shower, that right, a SHOWER, in our second bathroom.
3) We get a laundry room. Woo-hoo!
And the crazy thing is, this is what we've wanted from the beginning, asked for from the beginning, but the engineer didn't present the plans correctly, so the city kept saying, "No!"
Someday, when I have a few spare hours, I'll vent all my grievances with the engineer. Yep, he's right up there with the plumber.

By The Numbers
Rob painted the numbers to our house the same red as the garage door. It's a temporary fix, since these will come down when the siding gets replaced, but at least the pizza delivery guy can find our house now.
